Hi, I'm Tabitha

BirdFood began in 2011 in the stillness of the early days (and nights) following the birth of our youngest son. In those quiet newborn days, I found myself imagining something different, a catering business rooted in beautiful food, genuine hospitality, trusted producers and a more considered, sustainable approach to entertaining.

The early years were built instinctively: charity shop serving pieces, handwritten ideas, long conversations with suppliers and late nights shaping a vision.  The intention was clear; to create food that is generous, seasonal, beautifully presented and deeply personal.

Over time, BirdFood has grown organically and alongside me has always been my team of “Birds”. together we have created countless tables, memories and long-standing relationships with clients and producers alike.  Somewhere along the way, clients began calling us “The Kitchen Fairies”.

In 2020, like much of hospitality, everything paused. BirdFood adapted; focusing on private dining, canapés and smaller gatherings, creating meaningful experiences within a very different world.

In 2022, our relocation to Blagdon marked a quiet rebirth. It became a natural moment to refine what BirdFood does best: design-led, highly personal catering that begins with conversation and ends in experience. Along the way, we’ve continued to build relationships with exceptional local producers and source pieces that bring texture and character to every table.

Today, BirdFood specialises in bespoke private dining, canapés, retreats and event catering. Every menu is created from scratch and shaped entirely around you; your tastes, your guests and the atmosphere you want to create.

For me, food has never been just about eating. It is colour, texture, memory and emotion. I am drawn to ingredients, florals and table design, and I love creating experiences that feel effortless in tone but intentional in every detail.

I’m always researching, building Pinterest Boards, refining ideas and rewriting menus, often into the early hours (who needs sleep right?!).
